Handy Chaps Project

As part of a small team I was tasked to design a series of simple games for a Handy Man company. I created the concepts for each of the different Jobs, so that it would allow the players to participate in varying tasks.

Along with creating all the documentation for the games, I also learnt some action script 3.0 to make the games playable, created all the animations for each job and added the sounds.

The game itself has the player work with a small robot named M1KE, who is in need of your assisstance to complete a series of jobs that he has been given. There are six jobs in total with multiple levels in each that increase in difficulty as the player progresses.

  • Plumbing: patch up the pipes and then replace them

  • Electrical: complete the circuit to let the electricity flow

  • Roofing: replace all the missing tiles

  • Joinery: create the flatpack in the time allowed

  • Brickwork: fit each brick segment in the correct slot

  • Landscaping: Looking at the design, place the missing objects

The game is now completed and available to play on their website. Press the button below if you wish to give it a try!
